Senior HR Gatherings
As an organization we are wholly committed to our research into how the best managers lead. Keeping pace with the dynamic set of demands put on today’s managers requires us to be there, on the ground, on a frequent basis. Similarly, having a complete understanding of the challenges faced by today’s senior most HR and Learning Officers as they develop those managers and the larger people resources of their organizations is critical.
Years ago CGM began convening small groups of these senior most people officers in an effort to provide a focused, safe forum for discussing the most pressing issues. Over time, we have refined our approach to these sessions and now proudly gather groups of 20 to 25 HR and Learning officers several times each year. The discussions are intense, focused on sharing the most pressing challenges and most exciting solutions, and structured to allow participants to brainstorm and problem solve with a group of peers whom most just wouldn’t normally have the chance to interact with.
We ask attendees to come prepared with the 1 or 2 biggest challenges they’ll face in the next 12 months. We also ask that those who believe they’ve developed a noteworthy approach be willing to share the story with the group. With these issues as our foundation, the CGM team crafts agenda’s that engage participants, allow for meaningful connection and knowledge sharing, and that regularly lead to transformative thinking and realizations for our attendees.
